The film (set from 1953-1960) begins with an unknown entity (voiced by Keith David) explaining how it has witnessed the evolution of life on Earth:

Like all things on this hurtling sphere, I emerged from the molten center of creation. But mine has been a unique path. Isolated, I developed attributes beyond those of lesser beings. Then the sphere was struck by a vast celestial stone. Black chunks of death filled the skies and the world became a chaotic garden of doom. Soon the sphere began to nurture new kinds of life. And there was one that stood above the rest. Its fragile shell belied its vicious nature. And in what seemed like a heartbeat, these things proliferated in both number and destructive means. Now they have harnessed the most destructive force. And I, The Centre, have concluded that the sphere must be cleansed of them.

This explanation is shown being written and illustrated under the title “The Last Story” by a mysterious person who then shoots himself.

The film cuts to the end of the Korean War, where United States Air Force pilot Hal Jordan (voiced by David Boreanaz) and his wingman, Kyle “Ace” Morgan (voiced by John Heard), are attacked by enemy pilots not yet informed of the cease-fire. Hal is shot down in the ensuing conflict, and forced to kill a North Korean soldier after ejecting to safety. The trauma of this event leads Hal to a mental ward within a hospital for two years.

Elsewhere, at Gotham Observatory, the last survivor of the Green Martian race, J’onn J’onzz (voiced by Miguel Ferrer), is inadvertently teleported to Earth by a scientist, Dr. Saul Erdel. The shock of J’onn’s appearance causes Erdel to succumb to a heart attack, though not before he apologizes for stranding the Martian. Unable to return to Mars, he disguises himself as Dr. Erdel.

The following year, Superman (voiced by Kyle MacLachlan) meets Wonder Woman (voiced by Lucy Lawless) in Vietnam, where she celebrates with a group of women she rescued from political rebels. The Amazon allowed them to exact their own brand of fatal justice upon their captors, which Superman is horrified to learn. He reminds Diana that the government is distrustful at best of the heroes, which has led to the Justice Society’s disbanding and Hourman’s death, as well as Batman’s branding as a fugitive vigilante. Superman also tries to remind her that mitigating the general public’s fear is why they signed loyalty oaths to the United States government. Diana, however, resolves that she must do what she feels is right. The two part at odds, and Diana later leaves America to return to Paradise Island. Superman later confides in Lois Lane (voiced by Kyra Sedgwick) about Wonder Woman and Batman, neither of whom, he says, would sacrifice their principles for each other.

In Gotham City, J’onn J’onzz has been living quietly under the guise of Dr. Erdel, while learning what he can about humans and Earth society through television. He shape-shifts into different guises during his nightly viewing, such as Groucho Marx and Bugs Bunny, before settling on the form of a film noir detective.

In Las Vegas, reporter Iris West (voiced by Vicki Lewis) is on assignment to interview singer Buddy Blake, at the same casino where Hal Jordan and Ace Morgan are enjoying themselves. While Iris is on the phone with her boyfriend Barry Allen (voiced by Neil Patrick Harris), Captain Cold (voiced by James Arnold Taylor) arrives to rob the casino. Hearing the events on the phone, Barry races to Vegas from Central City as The Flash and confronts Cold, who tells him he has hidden six cryogenic bombs around Vegas set to go off in 90 seconds. Flash zips around the city and locates five of the bombs, but deduces the sixth is a decoy, and captures Cold before he can escape by helicopter. Before being subdued, Cold is possessed by the unknown entity from the prologue, who asks Flash why he is faster than “the other lesser beings” before leaving the Rogue.

Hal and Ace leave the casino and head into the desert. Hal is unclear about their destination, which Ace keeps a surprise. Ace notices Hal has been acting differently, and Jordan confesses things haven’t been the same since the war and his time in the hospital. He also admits his past hospitalization has kept him from getting a job with a top aircraft company. It’s after Hal confides in Ace that the two arrive at Ferris Aircraft, where an opening as a test pilot is indeed waiting for Hal, thanks to a recommendation from his friend.

Back in Gotham, J’onn joins the Gotham City Police Department under the name John Jones, and with his integrity, cunning analytical skill, and telepathy, quickly rises to the ranks of detective in just two years. After investigating a kidnapping of a child which was later discovered to be part of a sacrificial ritual for a cult that worships something called The Centre, J’onn and his partner Slam Bradley (voiced by Jim Meskimen) meet Batman (voiced by Jeremy Sisto) for the first time as he is also investigating the kidnapping. The two cops join Batman in battle against the cult, but a fire is started during the fight, rendering J’onn powerless until Slam extinguishes it. Afterward, when Batman attempts to free the boy from his bonds, the child is terrified at the sight of him. J’onn arrives to calm the boy down and then he and his partner free the child themselves. The entity which possessed Captain Cold speaks through the incapacitated cult leader, identifying itself as “The Centre” and warning of an impending judgment.

Hal Jordan begins training exercises under Col. Rick Flagg (voiced by Lex Lang) at Ferris Industries. His joking, devil-may-care attitude rubs Flagg the wrong way, but Carol Ferris (voiced by Brooke Shields) is understanding and recognizes Hal’s natural ability. Carol also recognizes that Hal needs to know the true nature of his training, which she soon reveals to him: the government has commissioned Ferris Aircraft to build a spacecraft capable of travel to Mars. Special agent King Faraday (voiced by Phil Morris) is assigned to oversee the project, which is in response to Dr. Erdel’s contact with Mars and J’onn’s arrival.

Back in Gotham, the Dark Knight reveals his knowledge of J’onn’s true nature in his apartment, as he is able to find a way to shield his mind from J’onn’s telepathy, and suggests that they should form an alliance as they are both investigating the cult that is rising throughout the world cult that worships the Centre. J’onn’s demonstration of kindness toward the boy led Batman to believe that he can be a trusted ally. However, he warns J’onn that should he betray him, he is fully aware of and willing to use the Martian’s vulnerability to fire against him.

In Central City, The Flash defeats Gorilla Grodd (or, rather, a robotic duplicate), but is targeted by government agents, as they attempt to capture him in an effort to learn the secret of his powers. Though he narrowly escapes, the experience leads the Flash to consider retiring from his crimefighting career.

J’onn J’onzz interrogates Harry Leiter, a former Ferris employee apprehended for murder while under the influence of the Center. During the questioning, Harry lets word slip about the launch to Mars. Leiter’s ramblings are confirmed when Faraday arrives to take him into custody. J’onn briefly glimpses into the agent’s mind and learns the truth. After watching the Flash announce his retirement on live television, and seeing the public contemptuous response, a disheartened J’onn attempts to stow away on the rocket so that he may return home. Before leaving, he arrives in Batman’s headquarters, the Batcave, revealing that he’s been aware of Batman’s secrets for quite some time (using his cunning detective skills instead of his telepathy), and gives him the last of his research on The Centre. J’onn reveals to Batman that he’s losing faith in humanity, as he sees that there’s too much hatred, ignorance, and conformity within the people around him, which made him decide to leave Earth. Batman’s response is cold and brief, as he tells J’onn some people don’t have the luxury of leaving Earth.

While attempting to board the ship, J’onn is seen on camera by Faraday, who confronts J’onn and fights him on the launchpad. J’onn is able to beat Faraday, but saves him from the rocket exhaust by flying him to a platform before collapsing. The rocket is damaged and malfunctions shortly after exiting the atmosphere. Hal wants to attempt a landing, but his co-pilot, Col. Rick Flagg, reveals that the rocket is loaded with weapons of mass destruction, and as such he won’t risk it. After a brief struggle, Hal is ejected from the cockpit. Though he is saved by Superman, the distraction allows Flagg to detonate the rocket.

J’onn J’onzz is held as a prisoner by Faraday. Superman blasts Faraday for treating J’onn differently from him (a Kryptonian and thus also an alien), just because J’onn looks radically different. He also points out the captivity is entirely J’onn’s decision because he can escape at any time using his powers.

On Paradise Island, Wonder Woman trains with Mala, and tells her of how America has changed since the war. Her training partner says the island has changed as well, and that many Amazons desire a change in leadership. Though Diana quickly fends off a challenge from her fellow Amazon, the two of them are soon beset upon by the approaching Center.

Hal Jordan is later found by Abin Sur (voiced by Corey Burton), the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. The destruction of the rocket badly wounds him as he enters Earth’s atmosphere, so he instructs his ring to find a worthy replacement. He leaves his ring with Hal, and tells him of The Centre, which he describes as a “monstrous creature” that fears humans and seeks their destruction.

In the Batcave, Superman reviews J’onn’s research with Batman and meets Robin (voiced by Shane Haboucha) for the first time. Batman has altered the design of his suit so it won’t frighten an innocent, but is still able to strike terror in the heart of a guilty. As they discuss the Centre, they hear Lois reporting on the attack of a giant pterodactyl at Cape Canaveral. Superman arrives at the scene and quickly defeats the creature. Almost immediately afterwards, Wonder Woman’s invisible jet makes a crash landing, its cockpit smeared with blood. Before losing consciousness, Wonder Woman warns Superman that the Centre is coming.

Faraday eventually befriends J’onn who saved his life, and occasionally plays chess with him. J’onn reveals to Faraday that he decided to remain at the agent’s base willingly because of the upcoming battle with The Centre, and had telepathically looked into the agent’s mind during their battle at the platform. J’onn found that Faraday believes that one day the world won’t be living in fear and hate. Finding that within Faraday, J’onn has renewed hope for humanity and decides to participate in the battle to save Earth. Before leaving with Faraday, J’onn adopts a new Martian/human superheroic hybrid form as the Martian Manhunter, believing it is honest to his heritage with a friendly appearance to human perception.

    The Centre

Following this, the Centre begins its attack in earnest at the coast of Florida, finally revealed as a massive flying island, with an army of mutated dinosaurs to guard it. The threat draws heroes such as Flash (whom Iris talks into coming out of retirement), Green Arrow, Adam Strange, the Challengers of the Unknown, and the Blackhawks, who clash with the soldiers on base. The conflict is stopped by Superman, who advocates cooperation between the two sides. He is unexpectedly seconded by Faraday, accompanied by J’onn, who agrees that the government and the heroes must work together for freedom. With that, Superman heads out to do reconnaissance on the Centre, but is swiftly and shockingly defeated.

Moved by his effort, the rest of Earth’s superheroes and military forces band together to defeat the Centre. Batman interrupts a meeting between Faraday, J’onn, Will Magnus (voiced by Townsend Coleman), and the Challengers. Batman brought with him Ray Palmer, a scientist known for his work with matter reduction. When one of the Challengers argues the technology is too unreliable, destabilizing anything it shrinks, Batman replies that’s exactly the point, and a plan is formed to use Palmer’s reduction ray to destabilize the island. The heroes will distract the Centre with a frontal assault (while Hal and Ace fly a bombing mission into the creature), leaving Flash to quickly crisscross the island with the ray.

While the aerial assault (including Batman and Green Arrow as pilots) is nearly outmatched before the intervention of the Blackhawks, Faraday’s ground forces are ambushed by a herd of rampaging mutant dinosaurs. J’onn is overwhelmed by the psychic impact from The Centre and is rescued by Faraday, who is shortly thereafter captured by a dinosaur. As he is about to be eaten by a tyrannosaurus, Faraday grabs two hand grenades and pulls the pins. The dinosaur swallows Faraday and immediately afterwards its head explodes from the grenade detonation, killing both it and Faraday. The shock of his friend’s death helps J’onn shake off the Centre’s hold, and he and a recovered Wonder Woman help turn the tide of the ground battle.

Hal Jordan and Ace Morgan manage to shoot their way into the core of the creature, but are disoriented at first by its hallucinogenic effects. The creature secretes a thick red fluid that jams their weapons and almost suffocates them. It is then that Hal’s ring activates, relaying instructions from the Guardians of the Universe (voiced by Robin Atkin Downes) as to its use. Ace manages to detonate his payload, and is rescued by Hal–now dressed in a costume identical to Abin Sur’s–just before his plane explodes.

The explosion gives the ground crew their opening as they prepare to send Flash to finish the creature. The speedster is struck by the gravity of the situation and his role in it, but J’onn reassures him that everyone will be behind him. Flash races across the ocean and leaps onto the Centre’s surface, covering the entire surface on foot before leaping into the ocean. The Centre begins to shrink, but realizing its imminent destruction, it heads toward land to destroy the humans along with it. Hal realizes what he must do, and envelops the island in green energy, then tows it into space where it explodes.

The entire world celebrates the Centre’s defeat. As many participants in the battle attend a ceremony, Hal celebrates the victory his own way by pursuing his lifelong dream: flying through space with the aid of his new power ring. During the celebration, Superman is revealed to be injured but still alive, saved by a man named Arthur (voiced by Alan Ritchson) who claims to be from an underwater kingdom. He and his subjects treated Superman’s wounds during the battle with the Centre. Superman is reunited with Lois and the rest of the heroes, who are touted so on the front page of the Daily Planet.

This monumental victory and display of teamwork changes public opinion about superheroes, and a montage of various heroes and villains (with cameos by Supergirl, the Teen Titans, Black Manta, Brainiac, Captain Marvel, Darkseid, Black Canary, Doctor Light, Doctor Sivana, Gentleman Ghost, Harley Quinn, Joker, Key, Lex Luthor, Monocle, Plastic Man, Ra’s al Ghul, Riddler, Robin, Star Sapphire, Two-Face, and Ultra-Humanite) as well as the birth of the world’s second generation superhero team: Justice League, set to the titular John F. Kennedy speech, is shown just before the film ends.

    Critical reception

Justice League: The New Frontier received mostly positive reviews. Screener copies were sent to those who reviewed them on websites a month prior to the DVD’s official release. Even then, most of the reviews were positive and geared up the film’s release even more.

Newsarama reviewed the DTV before its Feb. 26th release, saying that it was “one of the best things to ever come out of [Bruce] Timm stable.” Commenting also that the acting was exceptional. The World’s Finest, a fansite dealing with DC Animations, said that it was “the first animated feature in a long time that Ie felt completely satisfied while walking away from.” A reviewer from Ain’t it Cool News said that it was “my favorite film of 2008” and also said that it was “everything I had hoped for.” Other sites, including some non-fansites, had similar reactions. From IGN giving the film and DVD total an 8.0, ENI saying it was enjoyable, and labeling its advice as “Recommended”.

Entertainment Weekly, talking about direct-to-videos and Superman Doomsday, revealed that pre-orders for The New Frontier were tracking further ahead than expected.

Prosperity, Eternity (10): Brotherly Love, Spirit's Unction and Life for Evermore!

Permalink to Prosperity, Eternity (10): Brotherly Love, Spirit's Unction and Life for Evermore!

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore” – Psalm 133.

There is a dwelling together in unity. This is more than coming together in some form of worship of God. In the New Testament the saints were breaking bread from house to house. A dwelling together!  Genuine and unfeigned love, holy get-together, unity of mind and purpose and others-centeredness all implied here! This, in the sight of God, leads to a flow acceptable to Him: a ‘giving and sharing’ of pleasant smell rising up to the throne of God and attracting His Spirit’s descent among men.

A flow, a running down from the head to the beard down to the skirts:When there is this kind of dwelling together, one that is void of self and allows what we have to flow from up to down (and we refer to giving, sacrificial giving: be it spiritual, physical or financial), it is always good and pleasant in the sight of God. Result: He commands ‘the’ (not ‘a’) blessing. And what is that? Life for evermore!  This is the Holy Spirit in action. This is its chief purpose, even life for evermore. All other things are secondary and additives. The place of genuine love among brethren – saints or holy brethren that is – in having the Holy Spirit to work eternal works among us cannot be overemphasized.

‘Life for evermore’ is the chief promise of both Testaments. From it every other thing proceeds. It is not otherwise. Jesus says we should seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and other things shall be added. Later we shall see the relevance of the brethren dwelling together in love and its relationship with this ‘life for evermore’ both as it relates to those within the fold or household of faith and as it affects those without; that is, how it enhances their having this ‘life for evermore’ and getting added to the church.

Mountains of Zion and Brotherly Dwelling!

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore”.

The word used here is ‘brethren’. It means, in New Testament usage, those who are born again or saved from sin by Jesus Christ and now having the life of God. And further more it means those who are living right and acceptably so by God. How good and how pleasant it is for those genuinely born again and living holily to dwell together in unity! The two: born again and living right, are very key in understanding a serious word: Brethren! Then it says that the dwelling together in unity of these brethren (always remember who they are) is like the precious ointment upon the head of Aaron that ran down his beard flowing down to the skirts of his garments’ just as it is with the dew of Hermon and with the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion (think about it). For there, that is, the mountains of Zion, God commands the blessing, even life for evermore. If where the brethren dwell together in unity is liken to mountains of Zion (with its dew) where He commands His blessing, then we can create many mountains of Zion today; mountains of Zion where He will command His blessing. And these mountains of Zion are ‘where the brethren dwell together in unity’.

These multiplied mountains of Zion here and there is what grace makes possible. We really now do not need to go seeking out mountains of Zion in Israel to be thus visited by God. And indeed, now is the time we must worship the Lord in truth and in Spirit for the Lord seeks such to worship Him. And one very key element in worshipping God in truth and in spirit is the unfeigned practice of what we are here talking about: Dwelling together in unity, sharing with and loving one another as members of one household. Of course, by this shall men know that we are His disciples!

And when men know without doubt that we are His disciples because our being born again and our individual holy lives translates to genuinely loving one another, God shall empower our words within as in days of old and shall command the blessing, even life for evermore and add to the Church daily those that are being saved.  And our own lives will also be better for it, for nothing translates a Christian better from glory unto glory than living holily, living in genuine love with the brethren and seeing new believers, believers indeed,  being added to the fold of Christ, especially in our little corners.

Dwelling in One Accord, and Life for Evermore

One key thing guaranteeing that we make Heaven after our salvation is sharing: and it could be godly knowledge, love, substance or material wealth (i.e. money and possessions) etc. Wherever there is unity of the brotherhood or household of faith, there God commands the blessing: life for evermore. This kind of living is that which makes men to know that we are his disciples. It recommends the Gospel to them acceptably. It makes God to add to the church daily such as are saved; souls embedded with eternal life: Life for evermore.

Unity of the brotherhood – when we are bonded in love – strengthens the bond of the Spirit which in turn increases the unction, anointing and flow of the Spirit upon His people to comfort them, lead them appropriately and empower them to do the works of God without restraint. And the first and chief goal of the Spirit here is ‘life for evermore’: Increased or more life of God for the old believers and introduction of the life of God to those just transiting from eternal damnation unto life eternal. Other things come by way of addition.

In Acts 5: 12-14 we read that the disciples “… (were all in one accord in Solomon’s porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women)”. Note here that everything is within parenthesis. You can never miss the context therefore. That is, the addition of these multitudes of believers to the fold is a factor of the old believers being in ‘one accord’ in Solomon’s porch.

It is very significant. When God sees the love He commands in His people; when He sees that his people have caring hearts, compassionate bosoms and loving embrace; enough to receive, lead and keep new converts, He opens doors of salvation to the heathen. He commands the blessing: Life for evermore!  But when his people so-called are living only to themselves, caring for only themselves, staying in ceiled houses with their families and feeding their lusts, no matter the sermons from the pulpit and pretentious love and hypocritical holiness we parade, people may be added to our numbers but not believers, not according to this that is written: ‘And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women’.

Acts 2: 42-47 puts it another way: “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.  And all that believe were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved”.

The last sentence should read: And the Lord added to the church daily those that were being saved. This agrees with Acts 5:12-14 above and other versions of the Scriptures (see New Living Translation and New International Version for instance). For we all know that it is those actually saved that God adds to His Church.

Brotherliness, Holy Unction and Binding and Loosing

Holy and practical love makes God not only to confirm our everlasting life we have in Him but helps Him draw others into everlasting life or to Himself. There are many things we labor to get by works and even by prayer that can easily be gotten either otherwise – that is, by genuine practical love – or by making it (genuine practical love) to lead our other efforts. One of such things we can easily see multiply in our fold in this wise is The Blessing: Life for evermore. Love, Bible love, is the scent of sweet smell, an aroma that moves God to do divine things in our midst. The place of unfeigned and sacrificial love in the move of the Holy Spirit in the church cannot be overemphasized. Its place in making us access eternal things in God is nonesuch.

We want to consider some few things in Matthew 18:18-22 and see how it relates to our present subject matter. “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

‘Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.’ The phrase: ‘again I say unto you’, suggests that something has been said before and that what is about to be said is a repeat truth. So, what has been said before in the verse immediately before this? ‘Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.’ Of course, this may have various prongs of meaning. ‘It means declaring something lawful or unlawful by preaching’. It means ‘confirming the truth by power’. It means asking and receiving. It means accepting or rejecting earthly happenings.  Binding and loosing or allowing and disallowing seem to sum it all up.

And what does it implies? Matthew 16:19 throws huge light: “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” This is the promise to Peter and his colleague-disciples at that time for revealing Who Jesus truly is. But in Matthew Chapter 18: 18-20 all believers were to share in this: ‘Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them’.

And so let’s go back to Matthew 16 to see how verse 19 introduces the matter: ‘And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven’. It is the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. The keys of life, of eternal life! The keys to ‘life for evermore’! That is the key thing: Life for evermore; and other things come by addition. ‘And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven’. Whatsoever we shall allow here shall be allowed in heaven and whatsoever we shall disallow here shall be disallowed in heaven. O what a power prayer, preaching, declarations, decrees and confessions of the believers or brethren are, someone may say! And always remember too that this has to do with the keys of the Kingdom of God or keys to eternal things with God; and which even make it, that is, the power or keys given to us more wonderful.  But it works out this way:

‘For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them’.  Here we see the power of unity. We see how it (unity) attracts Jesus Christ, our High Priest, wherever He sees it. Love makes us to better see and know the Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence of Jesus Christ. Let unfeigned love exist in ten billion spots on earth at a time, the Omniscience Who knows it all will be there with His Omnipresence to reveal His Omnipotence. Love!

Yes, when brethren are living holy lives and are in agreement or living as one-man without hatred, schism, bitterness and are caring and other-centered and they go to the throne of God to ask in agreement God commands the blessing:  life for evermore! The result is increased holiness or life of God among the old brethren and adding to the Church they that were being saved and obtaining God’s life.

There are two levels of agreement before we can bind and loose and Heaven gives the nod; and remember we are talking about eternal matters and things directly related to them either by way of enhancing or hindering them as the case may be. The first level of agreement is the agreement of lives and purposes in God; unity of the brotherhood and true fellowship that allows for sharing with a goal that none has too much and none lacks; and the bond of peace! That alone releases the unction and anointing of the Spirit upon the saints than all the prayers in the world without it.

And when such a people; be they two, three or multitude, steps out to God with a common agreement – the second level of agreement – to ask God to intervene or to even decree by way of preaching or sending forth God’s Word it is always ‘yea and amen’! These, indeed, have the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. And we must reiterate it on purpose that we are talking about eternal matters primarily: Life for evermore!

Holiness, Love and Gathering in Jesus Name

‘For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them’. What does it mean to gather together in Jesus Name? Many believe it is to gather together in the authority of Jesus or to gather unto Him and because of Him. Can we say therefore that a meeting that promotes sin and worldliness even though the Bible may be on the pulpit is authorized by Jesus Christ? Or is that gathering together in His authority? Is it a gathering unto Him and because of Him? Is Jesus therefore there! Or can we say that a coming together of hates, bitterness, grudges, schism, self-centeredness and want of love for the brethren authorized by Jesus Christ? Or is that gathering together in His authority? Is it a gathering unto Him and because of Him? Is Jesus therefore there!

‘Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven’.  Do not forget the context of this question. It is about binding and loosing; about two agreeing on earth as touching anything that they shall ask and it being done for them of His  Father which is in heaven; about where two or three are gathered together in His Name, and He being in the midst of them! That is the context of Peter’s question. And the Lord’s answer suggests indefinite or unlimited forgiveness!

For this whole thing about using the keys of the Kingdom of heaven or about ‘binding and loosing’ to work as it worked in the early church and in many ages past there must not be unforgiving spirit, hatred, bitterness and schism in our midst. The brethren must live in harmony with the Word of God and in unity one with another. This is the first and requisite agreement God demands of His people before the agreement concerning an issue they think of presenting to Him or what they want to bind or loose. Only then God comes in; only then He commands the blessing; only then what is done here on earth is done in heaven.

Brotherly love is pivotal in all that we do. We must love the brethren with unfeigned love. We must be of one mind. Our fellowship must not be hypocritical. Freely we received freely we must give and share. We must share godly knowledge and exhort one another in sound doctrine for the days are evil: that is love, love of the souls of the people with us. We must also share our possessions. We must live peaceably among ourselves. We must be of one heart, believing the same thing: that wish is truly scriptural! We must be one: That is unity, brotherly living. This is what makes the people out there to know that we are His disciples. And this is what rejoices the heart of our Lord and Savior to be in our midst to grant answers to our requests. This is what makes Him to command the blessing, even life for evermore: Building up and conforming the old believers more and more to His Image and adding to the Church daily such as are being saved.

Brotherly love, genuine love within the household of faith, be it among two or multitude, attracts the Holy Ghost unction and anointing. It provokes the Holy Spirit to act. That is because genuine love is actually God at work.

Love, Holiness and the Christian faith

Love is God. Holiness is the life of God. Love is holy. Holiness loves. And you really cannot separate both or define one without embracing the other wholly else your definition is hugely faulty. When ‘love’ is not from a pure heart it is really something else, something other than love. And ‘holiness’ must love. Holiness must love the souls of men, crave and work for their salvation; and it must love the saved souls, be thoroughly endeared to them and work for their abidance and growth in Christ. ‘Holiness’ that does not love and reach out really has another name other than holiness.

When holy brethren dwell together in love and unity ‘Christianity’ is what you call it. And the brethren were first called Christians (Christ-like) first in Antioch. Holiness and brotherly love that expressed itself in their various godly products or elements gave rise to that. Holiness and love sums up all the Christian virtues, sums up our true profession of the Christian faith and this also perfects all our works and sacrifices.

We are lights. And that is because we are ‘wicks’. A ‘wick’ is ‘a material holding fuel that burns or a string or piece of fabric using capillary action to draw fuel to the flame’ in say a candle or oil lamp or even the stove. But take one lit wick standing alone, and then several lit wicks abiding together, and you will know what a difference. Or, light one wick in the stove, and see what you have; then light each and everyone, and see the difference. As long as the wick or wicks light singly, there is some hit and glow of course. But let the lights join one with another and what a glow and beauty, what a heat and what a purpose achieved! When individual holy lives join together in love, unbroken sweet fellowship, what a glow, what a heat: And this is where the Holy Spirit dwells, where God commands the blessing: Life for evermore!

For the Christian, the life of holiness is that wick. Holiness draws life, the life of God from its base to the flame (the grace of the Holy Spirit) that expresses itself in the Christ-like life or fruit of the Spirit, with love at the apex and almost either encompassing other departments of the Christ-like life or the fruit of the Spirit, or exhibiting their characteristics or elements. Love reaches out to the world in its various dimensions and inseparably of other departments of the Spirit’s fruit (singular): “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” – Galatians 5:22-23.

When the life of God in us meets with the flame of the Holy Spirit, it is always glow, heat and power as we see in the Acts of the Apostles and read in holy revivals of past ages. Holy living and unfeigned love of the brethren is key and common denominators in them all. This also can only be the secret in our days.

Tertullian who lived from about 160 to about 220 A.D. is noted for many things including these two quotes of his: “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church” and “See how they (Christians) love one another”. Yes, unfeigned love, hearty togetherness, sweet fellowship, holy communication and other-centeredness of the saints or holy brethren are that glow and heat! Yes, this is where the Holy Spirit dwells with His power and where God commands the blessing. Any age that has relived the Acts of the Apostles in history has known the visitation of the Holy Ghost the Acts way! “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world” – 1 John 4:16-17. This thing connects with eternity, our being in eternity with God.

We are individually called unto Holiness. That is our individual identity that we must keep and grow in. Its taproot must be firm in the Cross of Calvary where we are saved and where all graces flow to keep us through this dark world of sin. But while maintaining our individual holiness we must reach out to others in the faith with love. The wick individually taps to its base, its source of life. It absorbs life through its own ‘roots’, ‘stump’ and ‘trunk’ standing alone; but at the top where the flame spreads to touch other wicks’ flames ; what a glow! Love is the ‘branches’ of one Christian that spreads and touches another branches of another Christian just like one lit wick touching another lit wick, and if you have many of them together in this way; O what a thing, what a glow and what a heat! This, I say, is where the Holy Spirit dwells and God commands the blessing.

The saint like a wick must individually tap to its taproot: The love or Cross of Christ; and his own roots, stump and trunk, as it were, would, of course, individually stand firm and personally live the life of holiness. But atop let the branches touch other branches; let them embrace others in unfeigned and holy love of the brethren. Unfeigned love of the brethren is chief proof of our holiness,  of our sainthood,  our discipleship; and by this shall men know that we are Christ’s disciples; and this is the proof that we have seen God and known Him…And this love is necessarily pure. It is agape love – Christ kind of love! First pure and coming from the innermost being of the brethren and powered by the Holy Spirit this is the love acceptable to God.

Without holiness no man shall see God (Hebrews 12:14). But we cannot say we have holiness or that we are holy without its chief evidence. 1 Peter 1:22 tells us this: “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently”. Seeing! This is talking to men who have purified their souls: saved and pure souls (holy lives – pure hearts and clean hands or inner holiness evidenced by transformed living) by obedience of the truth of God’s Word through or by the grace of the ministry and workings of the Holy Spirit.

The goal of purifying our souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit is also told us in the verse: Unto…!  ‘Unto unfeigned love of the brethren’! This being so, the command follows immediately and it is very pointed: ‘see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently’. Here we see that holiness leads to love, and love is carried in holiness. Except holiness transports love, it is not love.  With this truth, 1Corinthians 13: 3 comes very plain: “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing”. Love must be pure, and from a pure heart.

And yet something else! Love should not only be pure and holy, but fervent, the same verse tells us. Love must be beautiful or have good glow which only holiness offers, and must also be hot or fervent (never lukewarm) which, the Holy Spirit offers when it has holiness as carriage. When the ‘branches’ above joined themselves with others even while our individual ‘roots’, ‘stumps’ and ‘trunks’ are rooted on their Taproot, with the life of holiness intact, it is usually wonderful upstairs where the glow of each ‘wick’ blend into a sweet communion, godly fellowship, holy dwelling together and unfeigned love for one another. Here, the Holy Spirit dwells. Here, God commands the blessing.

Love brought God to us, and no topic can be more important. Love is one word that explains ‘the golden rule’: Doing unto others what we want them to do unto us. “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law” (Romans 13:10). Jesus says in John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Since those eternal words by the Eternal Word Himself no other command is most repeated and or emphasized to New Testament believers. Brotherly love! We take only two, and verbatim:

The Apostle of Love’s Two Synopsis on Brotherly Love

    1 John 3:11-24:

“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.”

    1 John 4:7-21:

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love Him, because He first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God Whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

    Purpose of the Commandment

Love that gives or giving driven by love is the need of the Church today. This contrast with what the Scriptures apparently counsels against in 1Corinthians 13: 3 earlier quoted viz.: “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing”. There is giving that is not charity or love. The world is full of that. Many church folks are into it too. This profits nothing. It has already received its reward having been done in pride; given grudgingly, hypocritically or out of compulsion; or done publicly for show and to attract attention, recognition, honor, glory and praise from men etc.

1Timothy 1: 5 calls the love that is acceptable to God ‘charity out of a pure heart’, and this plus a ‘good conscience’ and ‘faith unfeigned’ it calls ‘the end of the commandment’ or the purpose of the commandment: “Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling” – 1Timothy 1: 5-6.

In discussing these verses in “Between Holiness and ‘Prosperity’ Preaching”, I said inter alia: “Charity out of a pure heart, good conscience and faith unfeigned must attend our lives and ministries. We must not swerve or stray from them unto vain jangling. Love must be pure, conscience must be right and faith must be sincere; and we shall soon discover that we are presenting true Christianity and the people of God under us are getting it the real New Testament way. Away therefore with all these emotions and psychological maneuvering of our people because of our fleshly dictates and desires.”

That true love links with eternity with God is very clear and it is a major theme of I Corinthians 13. It (love) never fails; it never ceases; or it never vanish away (verse 8). It cannot be done away with (verse 10). “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity” (verses12-13).

It endures forever. And so where it is, God commands the blessing: Life for evermore! And they that dwell here, that is to say, dwell in love; have God dwelling with them and have God always therefore commanding the blessing: Life for evermore. And they that dwell in love, and so have God dwelling with them will dwell with Him eternally. It endures forever with all that dwell in it.

Many there are who know that “…God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. That is Love come down from above that brought and gave us eternal life. But not so many know that love among the brethren is the continuity or extension of that Love which also attracts the blessing: Life for evermore, from God.

But in holiness let each brother live for our God and serve Him also thus, for there is really no other way; and let us live and dwell together in unity and with brotherly love for this doesn’t fail, and its results astonishing every way, its rewards ever enduring . Let’s endeavor to so live; for then, the Holy Spirit will begin to do His great eternal works in our midst, as in the days of old. We can have and know God much more than we have and know Him today in our midst. But we must be brethren indeed (holy brethren) and must dwell in love, unfeigned love; must dwell together in unity!

And God’s Word says this is good and pleasant and God wants us to live it, see and taste the result: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

    Alternatives In Mental Health

Permalink to Alternatives In Mental Health

Some people believe that our brain becomes inactive when we sleep. If that were so then we should not have any dreams. Dreams are evidence that our mind remains active, even when we are asleep. This simply means that our mind is active 24 hours a day without any rest at all. Just imagine how our bodies would behave if we were to go through 24 hours of physical activity.

Although research may show that 30% of mental illness may occur without a trigger of stress, it also shows that a majority – 70% – of mental illnesses occur with stress. The research may have failed to look at the other 30%, mentally ill who may not be ‘acknowledging’ stress at a given moment. This gives us a pessimistic view of mental illnesses. We are made to believe that we can do nothing about them. We are also told that mental illnesses occur because of our genes, our upbringing, our personality, our temperament, our lifestyle and we can do nothing about them. Stress or no stress, we are told, if we have all these factors loaded in our personal history, we are prone to have a mental illness. Some psychiatrists adhere to this belief strongly. This belief is then put across authoritatively as the “gospel truth” of science. Naturally, this brings up a sense of low self-esteem and helplessness in the person who is suffering with the illness. We are then made to believe that medications are man-made answers to mental illness, which is a curse of nature.

Prayer, which was until recently considered unscientific, has now been shown to have beneficial effects on patients.1 Similarly, the current belief in psychiatry is that mental illnesses can be treated by medical professionals only and the person who is mentally ill has no control over their lives. The medical system works in a way in which the doctors themselves have limited choices other than prescribing drugs. The patient has no choices worth mentioning. From the legal perspective, a person who is mentally ill is considered not capable of taking any responsibility for their actions. This is one of the most unfortunate aspects of mental illnesses. People who are mentally ill also have a sense of responsibility in many areas of their lives.

The role of emotions in mental illnesses has been totally ignored by scientists. Yet researches do show that separation from mother,2 losses3 – including deaths,4 traumatic events, especially when they occur over the previous three months5 can trigger mental illnesses. What has been looked at is the history of such events in a person’s life. What is ignored is the emotional upheaval it causes in a person’s body and mind. Emotional expression ameliorates the effects of trauma.6 Repetitive upheavals in the body are simply not forgotten. Release of emotions by emotional expression explains the role of counselling and confession. We tend to believe, erroneously, that everything will settle with time. Things do settle with time – but not everything. It is these issues and their emotional effects, that cause mental illnesses and psychosomatic illnesses. It is obvious that whenever we undergo any emotional experience, our nervous and hormonal systems are shaken-up. The nervous system and the hormones together control the activities of various parts of the body. If the neurohormonal expression is allowed to go through completion, a physiological calmness occurs in the body. This has a scientific basis.7

For people who attend church regularly, a common experience is the sense of calmness on entering a church. Coupled with music, incense and sermons spoken in a low, soft tone, a sense of calmness dwells on the person. There is scientific evidence to suggest that going to church helps a person remain healthy.8 More interesting is the fact that there is little research to state that music or aromatherapy help to bring about mental health. Yet experience shows that they have a calming effect. Only recently have papers started to be published in scientific journals bridging the gap between spirituality and science.9 It has now been researched that people who are religious in orientation have a lower rate of strokes than those who are not religious.10

The whole area of mental illness is about losing a sense of freedom. When we find ourselves bound to emotional issues of our life, that we cannot rid ourselves of, we lose our freedom of thinking. This creates stress in our mind and our body bears the brunt of it. This loss of freedom brings up a sense of fear or a sense of helplessness. Both such feelings bring up a sense of insecurity. A person loses confidence in their own worth. Self-esteem becomes low. With lack of confidence and low self-esteem, comes poor decision-making. A person suffers with all these conditions when suffering with a mental illness. This changes the behaviour of the person. The behaviour is affected by the way the person feels and thinks. If the person feels fear for a long time, the chances of becoming phobic and paranoid increase. Withdrawal from social situations occurs. The family members observe the person to be unwell. Such a person is then asked to see a doctor. With the person’s self-esteem low, vulnerability increases. This does not mean however, that the person becomes totally irresponsible towards their own well-being. Many times the person wants to do ‘something’ to get better, but the health system has limited resources to offer much in terms of growth of the person, except medication. When a mentally ill person goes to seek help – confidence, self-esteem and sense of freedom are already lost. Instead of helping the person become independent, there is a tendency to make the person dependent on medication.

Medication plays its role in controlling the condition or state of illness. It does nothing to improve the quality of life permanently. To improve their quality of life, the person needs to take responsibility for their own well-being. This is encouraged in some of the organisations, which are being run by the sufferers themselves. GROW is an example of such an organisation. Are there any alternatives to medication in mental conditions? A doctor can only prescribe drugs to “control” the mental condition. The current trend in some other parts of the world is to encourage people suffering with mental illnesses to take responsibility for their own well-being, along with medication. Psychotherapy11 and self-help is encouraged. The usage of medication in such situations is minimised or eliminated.

In psychiatry, we know that the suicide rate among physicians is higher than in the general population and psychiatrists are at a greater risk among physicians, than other specialists.12 Research shows that psychotherapy is more economical than medication alone in treating mental illness.13 Conditions like schizophrenia are also being treated without medication in some parts of the world.14 It is also a known fact that the more positive the attitude we have, the more balanced are the chemicals in our body.15 This would be more acceptable for those who see the positive role of religion on mental health. Some authors have suggested that the medicine of the future is going to be “prayer and Prozac.”16 Mental health is a preventative activity. Do we need to suffer first before we take steps to deal with it? If we could only assume responsibility for our own mental health, we may not have to suffer. The best medicine in this case is certainly prevention.

We live in a free society. The freedom to suffer is also one kind of freedom. We also have the freedom to look for answers to minimise our suffering.

Proven Trading Techniques …Profits In A Day Or A Week

Permalink to Proven Trading Techniques …Profits In A Day Or A Week

The Ultimate goal is Higher Profits

In order to determine what techniques will work the best for your particular situation, we have to first discover what you already know. Technique is defined as a procedure that is effective in achieving an aim or goal. Of course we know that your ultimate goal is to make money, and if you are already making money, to increase your profits. How we get there is dependent on what path you desire to take. Is this something that you are planning on devoting all your efforts to? Or perhaps you are planning on dabbling in it while keeping your present job, or enjoying your retirement. This decision will set the tone for your online trading future. Don’t confuse dabbling with having any commitment. Anytime you trade you must be totally committed, which includes be knowledgeable, properly trained, and possessing the right tools to get the job done successfully. Therefor if your plan is to tackle trading part time, you will be a swing trader.

Do you know the difference between day trading and swing trading? To me there is a major difference. Just as there are differences between an option and futures contract. Many so-called experts lump all online traders into the bag of day trading. For the sophisticated observer it is plain to see the obvious differences. A day trader rides the rush of the asset, while a swing trader diagnosis the trends and holds onto it as long as the momentum  last. I don’t know if the term “day trading” ever existed before we had access to the internet. If it did, I some how would picture a broker becoming a bit frazzled, trying to keep up with this mad client who is buying and selling at the speed of light. Because this, is the life of the day trader. They do not care about fundamentals or even for that matter what the company does. They are riding the trend, up or down it doesn’t matter, as long as the asset is behaving the way they have projected it would. Day traders don’t care what markets they are in, be it stocks, options, currencies, or futures, they get in and out with a fast profit. A transaction may last a few minutes, an hour or so, but never more than that day. These rebels of tradition are literally traders, rather than investors, but can reap huge rewards in a relatively short period of time. This is the itinerary of a day trader. If you can’t commit or don’t have the time to pursue this strategy properly, as I previously  suggested  you do indeed have to look into swing trading. Another thing about day traders, are they  must adhere to a set of strict rules and regulations, including maintaining an account that doesn’t fall less than twenty-five thousand. For complete details on all the rules, please refer to the SEC web site.

This is the itinerary of a day trader. If you can’t commit or don’t have the time to pursue this strategy properly, I suggest you do indeed look into swing trading. Please don’t misunderstand me, swing trading can be a full time job as well, and for thousands it is. You just can’t do day trading part time. It is important to know what path you are taking because the techniques to travel it are identical. You must be knowledgeable, able to comprehend technical analysis, and possess software that can give you the upper hand. Remember trading the market, no matter which one you chose, is like gambling, make no mistake about it. However instead of just rolling the dice, putting your chips all on lucky 7, or hopelessly watching the little pea spin around, you can learn what is the equivalent of counting cards.

    Confidence Derives From Knowledge

Technical Training and Charting Leads to Higher Profits
Let us assume that you have some knowledge or you wouldn’t be researching the market. Any training you receive should be for technical analysis, or you are just wasting time and money. As far as software platforms, the following suggestions I strongly feel are necessary for any software to be useful.

    1. It must be able to offer live streaming technical data.    (Otherwise the program is merely educational)
    2. The platform should defiantly include candlestick charting.
    3. Visually it has to be large enough for all the data to be seen easily. (Many of the online brokerage’s technical data is to small to be useful)
    4. It must be cost effective. (Most good systems can be purchased for between one and two hundred dollars)

    No More Meaningless Stock Ticks

    Candlestick Charting Is Technical Analysis
For those of you not yet familiar with candlestick charting, I will
try to give a brief but accurate explanation.  The Chinese invented the market concept, and the Japanese perfected charting techniques with the use of the candlesticks. It is easy to understand this complex system, if we simply break it down to the ticks on the chart you follow every day. We know that the lower tick is where the stock opened and the higher is where it closed. Now if we made the two lines parallel and connected them, what would we have? A candle. However, during that movement, the stock might have gone lower or higher then where it opened or closed, so our candle has formed a tail and a wick. Is it starting to make a little sense to you? Can you see the advantage of knowing this information, for getting in and out, and setting a stop loss?

    Take these examples:

    1. Lets assume a stock opens twenty cents higher than it closed yesterday. It later closes ten cents higher than that. Should we get in? Not necessarily. Because as the candlestick showed us, even though it had a thirty-cent swing from the day before, a long wick was created. This meant that it went even higher then it eventually settled on. That tells us that the pressure to go higher wasn’t strong enough. We will put it on our watch list, and keep a keen eye on it.

2.A few days passes with similar results. Suddenly there is a break in the resistance. The stock has formed a candlestick with a long tail. What does this convey? We might put a buy signal for a couple of cents  higher than it has previously gone, because the long tail tells us that the bulls are ready to take over.

    3. Ideally you want to wait for clusters to form. Of course the greatest indicator is a long candle. One that opens and closes with hardly any wick or tail.

This synopsis could have very easily taken place over a few hours rather than days, if you were day trading, for example. There are many “characters” in candlestick charting, and those who master reading them become successful.

If you can acquire software that gives you even the slightest edge in your favor, it is well worth the Investment. I don’t profess to being an expert, but I do know of some. I obviously don’t have the time to go into all the details now, but at my site        Market Mentalist you will find all you need to know about investing online.
